About the Artist

Lauded as a “sensitive dancer” for her nuanced expressions and refined technique, Meera Sreenarayanan is a Bharatanatyam artiste from Guruvayur, Kerala. Trained under Prakash Choondal, R.L.V. Anand, and Kalakshetra’s Nirmala Nagaraj, she continues her advanced learning with Indira Kadambi and also undergoes consistent training in Navarasa Sādhana with G. Venu. A postgraduate in Bharatanatyam from the University of Madras and a diploma-holder in Nṛtyaśāstra from Nalanda Dance Research Centre, Meera also holds a Gold Medal in M.Sc. Physics from Women’s Christian College, Chennai. Alongside her expertise in Bharatanatyam, she has received rigorous training in Kuchipudi and Mohiniyattam, which has helped her develop an integrated and holistic pedagogy in dance.
